That's that, all 4 weeks of the 2024 Collection is done, I did my goal. I don't know what will happen next for my games, but going off of what sounded most promising from the collection, it'd be expanding on the bullet hell game. But tomorrow will just be some rest.
In the end I didn't get a good 5th enemy. Anything I tried just felt like extra busywork for the player and made the game extremely hard. Instead today I changed the enemy AI to be less random and more aggressive on higher difficulties. Now the hardest possible mode is even harder than ever, but still possible. I'll get a recording of it tomorrow and then I'll be done with the collection.
When thinking of new enemies, I realized that it should try to solve the problem of: in high level play you only check 1 camera: the one right in front of your room. Not only do you not have enough time to check out the other cameras, everyone passes by the room in front of you, which means that's the only one need you to check. This means this 5th enemy (that I only just thought of) should completely ignore the center room and can only be found on other cameras.
