Daily Zoughts - Oct 27 2023 (Fri)

Today was sort of a rest day before I spend all weekend working on projects. I picked today in particular to take it easy because there was a Dominion match - a semifinal between VRSmith and agoo03. agoo03 ended up winning, which was cool because they're Japanese, which means the finals will be between 2 Japanese players.

Now currently I'm trying to import some assets from the asset store into this Unity project for Mobile Game Studio, except it's taking forever to download so that may have to wait for later. It's pretty annoying because this has never happened to me before and I've no idea what changed. Anyways the current assignment is to make a 3D scene that you can move around with a joystick. It feels like a mini version of the 3D Game Studio class from last semester, which was one of my favorite classes ever. Maybe one day I should make a tier list of those classes, that'd be a fun blog post.

Finally, I don't like how society has mutually agreed to never use email over the weekend. I understand that people want to take a break from work, but also I sent out 2 fairly important emails over this week, and neither have received a reply. And now that it's the weekend, that means I'll have to wait even longer to get a reply.

Still haven't touched the RPG game. I was imagining the finished version of it while walking back from school, it'll be so satisfying to get it into the project, but currently can't.
